Malone, NY,  is the Seat of Franklin County. It is centrally located
between Lake Placid, Montreal, Ottawa and Burlington, situated in the
foothills of the Adirondacks, in the St. Lawrence Valley along the Canadian
border.

The people are largely employed in service industries with
the major employers being:

• Schools • Hospital and health related services
• County Government and support
• Agriculture • Retail stores
• Seasonal businesses (recreation)
